Ramon Ramos, MD
Pediatric Pulmonary, Pediatric Medicine

Born in Manhattan, New York, Dr. Ramon Ramos attended medical school at the Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic and obtained his medical doctorate degree (M.D.) from Escuela Medicina San Juan in Bautista, Puerto Rico in 1980.  

His Internship and Residency in Pediatrics took place at Jacksonville University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida from 1980-1983.  Dr. Ramos performed a Fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Disease at the Medical College of Georgia (Augusta, GA) from 1983-1984 followed by a Fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia from 1984-1986.  

In 1987, he worked for two years as Fellow Attending in the Pediatric Department and Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Medical Center.  In 1989 and 1990, he was in private practice in Santurce, Puerto Rico specializing in pediatrics and pulmonary medicine.  During that same two year period, Dr. Ramos also served as the Attending Physician for the Pediatric Department at Bayamon Regional Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Returning to Savannah, Georgia in 1990, he served an additional year as the Attending Physician for the Pediatric Emergency Room when it first opened at Memorial University Medical Center.   

In 1991, Dr. Ramos opened his private practice in General Pediatrics and Pulmonary Disease that remains in operation today.
